On 17 and 18 October, Finale Outdoor Region gives everyone the chance to race on the trails of the rainbow weekend, alongside the best riders in the world, with the Enduro Open and E-Enduro Open races.
Finale Ligure is back at the centre of the enduro world. And if watching the battle for the World Championship title live was not already reason enough to be there, this year there is much more on offer: grab the bike, put a race plate on the bars, get between the tapes and race.
With the UCI MTB Enduro & E-Enduro World Championships 2026 returning to Italy, for the first time the Open races will also become part of the rainbow programme. Registration opens on 28 August for the Finale Outdoor Region E-Enduro Open, taking place on Saturday 17 October, and the Finale Outdoor Region Enduro Open, on Sunday 18 October: one full race day for each discipline, preceded by official practice for all participants on Friday 16. A unique chance to finish the season in the saddle and right at the heart of the action, in Finale, the Home of Enduro.
Open and PRO riders will share the heart of the same event: the paddock, the main square, the start and finish stage, and much of the same race terrain. The Open courses will include several of the same stages used in the World Championships, giving riders the chance to compare times across the individual tests.
The race routes will cover a wide area of the Finale Outdoor Region, showcasing the variety of terrain, lines and stage styles that have helped make Finale one of the international reference points for enduro. The courses will combine completely new sections with trails already well known from past races, bringing together different technical characteristics in a route designed to show the depth and versatility of the region.
It will be a demanding and complete race, in true Finale style, with a significant amount of pedalling, plenty of timed downhill stages and substantial elevation gain and loss. A course worthy of a weekend hosting the highest international level of the discipline.
The E-Enduro course has also been designed specifically for the discipline. It is not simply an electric version of the Enduro route, but a dedicated course created to bring out the characteristics of E-Enduro and make the most of a region that has invested in the development of e-bike riding in recent years, with E-Enduro becoming one of its most natural expressions.
The courses for all four competitions will be officially revealed on 9 October at 18:00 CET. In the meantime, work continues across the region to prepare and clear the trails that will form part of the race routes.
The UCI MTB Enduro & E-Enduro World Championships 2026 programme will also include plenty of activities for the public. Friday will kick off with the Opening Ceremony and Team Parade, with the national teams taking to the streets in the heart of Finale Ligure.
Throughout the weekend, Lungomare Migliorini and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II will host the Expo Village, with brands, bike tests, new products and activities for the public. On Saturday, Taste the World will bring flavours and specialities inspired by the nations competing in the World Championships to the centre of Finalmarina.
And when the final rider has crossed the finish line, Finale will close the season with a big end-of-season party and live music, at the time of year that has always been closely linked to the history of enduro in Finale: autumn, traditionally the season of its grand finale. One last major gathering to meet up, celebrate and bring the season to a close together.
With entries limited to 200 riders for the E-Enduro Open and 150 for the Enduro Open, registration opening on 1 September is the first step towards being part of this special World Championships weekend in the Finale Outdoor Region.
